Shiraito Falls. Approximately 10 km to the north of Fujinomiya, visitors arrive at Shiraito Falls via Kariyado. It is approximately 29.4 m in height and 2.1 m in width.     OSAKA, Japan - Photo taken from a Kyodo News helicopter on Feb. 8, 2011, shows a big billboard -- about 166 meters in width and 28 m in height -- in the form of a chocolate bar in Takatsuki, Osaka Prefecture. Confectionery maker Meiji Seika Kaisha Ltd. set up the billboard along the outer surface of its factory ahead of Valentine's Day on Feb. 14 when it is customary in Japan for women to give chocolates to men. The company has applied to Guinness World Records for the billboard to be registered as the world's biggest advertising board made of plastic.

            Shinkyo Bridge spans Daiya River at the entrance to Nikko-Sannai. The bridge is also called Jabashi (Snake Bridge), referring to the legend that the priest Shodoshonin, when founding Nikko, crossed the river by walking over two big snakes released by Shinja-Daio. The bridge in this photograph was washed away by a flood in 1902.                 The Great Buddha of Kamakura is a seated Amitabha Buddha (Amida Nyorai) made of bronze. Designated as a National Treasure in 1897, it is the main object of worship at Kohtokuin Shojosenji Temple. Historic documents state that work began on a gilt statue of Shaka Nyorai Buddha about 13.5 meters in height in the year 1252. It is not known when it became a statue of Amida Buddha.
