      This is the Ryukoji main hall completed in 1832, a wooden building roughly 22 metres wide and 27 metres deep. The official name of the temple is Jakkozan Ryukoji. It was built in the early Edo Period to enshrine Shichimen Daimyojin of Mt. Minobe-Shichimen-zan.         The Nio Gate of Kiyomizu Temple. There are stone lanterns on both the north and the south sides of the stone stairway in front of the gate. The west gate and the three-story pagoda are visible on the far right. Built during the Muromachi Era (1392-1573), the Nio Gate had three rooms and one door with a hiwadabuki (bark-covered) roof. The statue of Kongo Rikishi is situated in the area surrounded by a kongo fence (a fence made of vertical stakes with decoratively shaped finials resembling the ritual object called kongosho used in esoteric Buddhist rites) with lattice work above it. Inoue Mankichi Inoue of Nagasaki Prefecture bought a sub-temple called Yaami from Anyoji Temple at Maruyama in 1879, then renovated it in Western style and opened it as the Yaami Hotel. Many foreigners stayed here, but the building burned down in 1906.                 On the left is the Kaguraden of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu (lower hall of worship). At the top of the stairs is the main shrine of Hachimangu. There are 62 steps in total. The Hachimangu that Yoritomo moved from Tsurugaoka is said to have been located under the staircase, but it was burned in a fire in 1193 and moved to the present higher location in November of the same year. The building on the left is the Kaguraden. The hip roof on the left is Jizodo (a temple hall where a Buddhist deity is enshrined). The house with a thatched roof before it is Yorozuya , Umeya is in front of that. The two-storied building on the right is Tsutaya. The house partially visible on the right is Sengokuya Inn. The roofs of these spa houses are thatched.
