Ichino-torii (the first gate) and the five-story pagoda,Toshogu Shrine,Nikko

The stone torii gate and five-story pagoda stand at the entrance to Nikko Toshogu. The gate was donated by Kuroda Chikuzennokami Nagamasa in 1618. Nine meters tall, it is the largest stone torii built in Japan during the Edo Period.
