Japan chemist Negishi among Nobel laureates
WEST LAFAYETTE, United States - Japanese chemist Eiichi Negishi, a professor at Purdue University, talks about his sharing the Nobel Prize in chemistry with two other chemists in West Lafayette, Indiana, on Oct. 6, 2010. Negishi, together with Akira Suzuki and Richard Heck, was given the award for ''palladium-catalyzed cross couplings in organic synthesis.'' (Kyodo)
