Ozawa's secretary Okubo arrested over fund reporting scandal
MORIOKA, Japan - Takanori Okubo, secretary to Democratic Party of Japan Secretary General Ichiro Ozawa, accompanied by officials of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office, leaves his home in Kamaishi, Iwate Prefecture, on Jan. 16, 2010, to head for the prosecutors office. Later in the day, Okubo was arrested at the office in connection with a scandal over political-fund reports linked to a land purchase by Ozawa's fund management body. (Kyodo)
