A local civic group revealed Dec. 27, 2010, that the diary written by Takeshi Yamanaka in Tosashimizu indicated he was likely to have been exposed to radiation after the United States conducted the test on March 1, 1954, in the area, as he logged his symptoms, including headache and diarrhea.
