Japan-U.S. tsunami rescue drills

URUMA, Japan - Japan's Air Self-Defense Force and the U.S. military conduct a joint lifesaving drill on Dec. 5, 2011, in Uruma, Okinawa Prefecture, in southern Japan. The drills were conducted on the assumption that an earthquake has occurred off the eastern coast of the Okinawa main island, triggering a tsunami which had swept people out to sea. (Kyodo)
