Japan's GSDF taking part in RIMPAC

HONOLULU, Hawaii - Members of Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force descend from rafts to land on a beach at U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii on July 1, 2014, during a Rim of the Pacific Exercise. Some 25,000 personnel from 22 countries and six observer countries are taking part in the exercise. This year's RIMPAC, the world's largest international maritime warfare exercise, is taking place from June 26 to Aug. 1. (Kyodo)
