Urban Animal Album

OSAKA, Japan - A nutria eats grass near a river in the city of Osaka on Jan. 12, 2014. Having thick brown fur and orange front teeth, the large rodent originally from South America was imported to Japan before World War II for fur but later became feral and now inhabits parts of western Japan. Many local governments designate it as a destructive animal because of damage it causes to agricultural crops. (Kyodo)
