Japan, U.S. announce delay in revising defense guidelines

TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Defense Minister Akinori Eto attends a press conference at his ministry in Tokyo on Dec. 19, 2014, as Japan and the United States announced that they will put off until the first half of 2015 a planned revision of their defense cooperation guidelines, keeping in step with Tokyo's efforts to legislate the use of the right to collective self-defense.
