Japan welcomes China's becoming world's No.2 economy
TOKYO, Japan - Japan's economic and fiscal policy minister Kaoru Yosano speaks during a press conference in Tokyo on the country's gross domestic product data for the Oct.-Dec. quarter and the whole of 2010. ''We welcome China's economic advancement as a neighboring country,'' Yosano said after the Cabinet Office announced preliminary GDP data for 2010 that showed Japan falling into third place and China becoming the world's No. 2 economy.
