U.S. tells Japan existing Futemma relocation plan is 'best'

TOKYO, Japan - Kurt Campbell, U.S. assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs, arrives at the Foreign Ministry in Tokyo on Feb. 2, 2010, to attend a Security Subcommittee meeting aimed at deepening the Japan-U.S. alliance. After the meeting, Campbell told reporters the U.S. told Japan that the existing plan agreed on between the two countries for relocating the U.S. Marine Corps' Futemma Air Station within Okinawa is the ''best plan.''
