Fukushima nuclear plant a year after start of crisis
TOKYO, Japan - Photo taken from a Kyodo News helicopter shows (from R) the Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 reactor buildings in the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant on March 11, 2012, exactly a year after the start of the nuclear crisis there triggered by the magnitude 9.0 earthquake and massive tsunami. The disaster resulted in the loss of power at those four reactor facilities, prompting the government to declare nuclear emergency and direct residents within a 3-kilometer radius of the plant to evacuate on March 11, 2011.
