KOROR, Palau - Palau President Johnson Toribiong talks to Kyodo News on March 9, 2012, about the present condition of the six Uyghurs moved to the island nation from Guantanamo Bay detention facility in Cuba. The Uyghurs, who were released after being found to be noncombatants by the United States government but refused to return to their home province in China for fear of persecution, are urging the U.S. to fulfill soon its promise of finding them a permanent country of residence.(Kyodo)
