Nuclear waste arrives in Japan from Britain

AOMORI, Japan - A freighter carrying high-level radioactive vitrified waste from Britain arrives at Mutsu Ogawara port in the village of Rokkasho, Aomori Prefecture, on March 9, 2010. The shipment, which comprises of nuclear waste reprocessed in Britain from fuels used at Japanese plants, is the first of its kind coming from Britain back into Japan. (Kyodo)
