FUKUSHIMA, Japan - Waka Araoka cuddles her pet dog Ko at a pet shelter in the city of Fukushima on March 19, 2012, before bringing the dog to a temporary home in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, to live together for the first time in about a year. The shelter was set up in the previous year for pet dogs and cats captured in no-entry zones near the crippled Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and surrounding areas. (Kyodo)
