Pit near water intake for No. 3 reactor at Fukushima plant
TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows a pit near a seawater intake for the No. 3 reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Fukushima Prefecture at around 6:45 p.m. on May 11, 2011, after the completion of work to stop a leakage of radioactive water into the sea. Tokyo Electric Power Co., the operator of the plant crippled by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, said the same day that it had detected a leakage but was able to stop it.
