Agency sought to manipulate symposiums on nuclear power
TOKYO, Japan - Nobuaki Terasaka, head of the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, holds a press conference in Tokyo on July 29, 2011. Chubu Electric Power Co. said the Japanese government's nuclear safety agency asked the utility to have local residents pitch questions favoring the firm's pluthermal nuclear power generation project at a symposium in 2007.
