Saitama suit settled, 1st over law on disability welfare costs

SAITAMA, Japan - One of the plaintiffs (C, front) speaks at a news conference in the city of Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, after settling a lawsuit against the state over a 2006 law requiring users to pay for disability care. The plaintiffs became the first group to settle such a lawsuit after the government agreed in January to scrap the law. (Kyodo)
