OAKLAND, United States - The Seattle Mariners' Ichiro Suzuki hits a run-scoring single to right in the third inning of a game against the Oakland Athletics at Network Associates Coliseum on Sept. 30. Ichiro went 1-for-5 in the game to produce his season's 256th hit, one away from George Sisler's 84-year-old single-season record of 257 hits. (Kyodo)
