BirdLife Asia to launch campaign for vulture conservation

TOKYO, Japan - BirdLife Asia, a Tokyo-based international organization that promotes bird conservation, will launch a campaign Oct. 7 for the conservation of vultures inhabiting South Asia whose population has plunged by 97 percent over the past 15 years.
