Crown Princess Masako engages in public duty solo
TOKYO, Japan - Crown Princess Masako attends a cultural festival for children at Tokyo's Meiji Shrine Hall on Nov. 6, making it her first public duty she engages in without Crown Prince Naruhito since she was diagnosed as suffering from stress-related mental illness in 2004. The princess watched elementary and junior high school students play wind instruments and perform classical Japanese dance at the festival participated in by welfare services operators.
