Ex-JH vice president pleads not guilty to bid-rigging charges
TOKYO, Japan - Michio Uchida, former vice president of Japan Highway Public Corp., enters the Tokyo District Court in Tokyo on Dec. 16 to attend the first hearing of his trial. Uchida pleaded not guilty to charges relating to his alleged involvement in rigging bids for steel bridge projects undertaken by the now-defunct state-run highway builder-operator. (Kyodo)
