Railway fans treated to double steam locomotive run

KUSHIRO, Japan - Two steam locomotives of the C11 model, connected back-to-back, run on a bridge over the Kushiro River in Kushiro, eastern Hokkaido, pulling several cars carrying railway fans and photographers Jan. 24. Hokkaido Railway Co., more widely called JR Hokkaido, started to operate the popular steam locomotives the same day on the Semmo Line as a special winter program to attract tourists through early March.
