Hanayagi Juraku, Living Nat'l Treasure of Japan dance, dies
TOKYO, Japan - Hanayagi Juraku (file photo taken May 2004), a Living National Treasure of classical Japanese dance, died of emphysema on Jan. 7 at a Tokyo hospital, his family said Jan. 8. He was 88. Born in Tokyo, he inherited the tradition of classical Japanese dance as a performer of the Hanayagi school. His real name was Jiro Aoyama. (Kyodo)
