S. Korea president calls for future-oriented ties with Japan
SEOUL, Japan - South Korean President Lee Myung Bak attends a ceremony in Seoul on March 1 to mark the 89th anniversary of the 1919 uprising in Korea against Japanese occupation. In an address there, Lee called for building a future-oriented relationship with Japan, the former colonial ruler, saying Koreans should not keep dwelling on the past. (Kyodo)
