Freestyle skiers flying high in Shinjuku

TOKYO, Japan - A freestyle skier leaps into the air from a 15-meter-high slope made of 70 tons of artificial snow on the premises of the Tokyo metropolitan government in the Japanese capital's Shinjuku area March 6. The slope was built for the March 7-8 event Tokyo Snow Style Tocho (the metropolitan government) with the aim of encouraging people in the urban area to experience snow sports. (Kyodo)
