Takashimaya to sell golden soccer ball to mark World Cup

TOKYO, Japan - Major department store operator Takashimaya Co. will put on sale May 27 an actual-size soccer ball made of pure gold to commemorate the World Cup tournament being held in Germany from June. The total price of the 3-kilogram ball, including manufacturing costs and a pedestal, will come to 20.06 million yen. (Kyodo)
