Upper house approves bill to videotape interrogation of suspects
TOKYO, Japan - The opposition-controlled House of Councillors approves a bill June 4 to require police and prosecutors to record the questioning of criminal suspects, a measure introduced in the wake of a recent spate of court acquittals of suspects who have been wrongly prosecuted. (Kyodo)
