Chinese nabbed for running underground bank for illegal aliens
NAGOYA, Japan - Bank cards and mobile phones confiscated by Aichi police from the home of a 53-year-old Chinese man who was arrested July 21 on suspicion of running an underground bank and providing cross-border remittance services to illegal Chinese residents. The suspect, Huang Zehui from the Chinese province of Fujian, allegedly sent 1.5 billion yen to China between September 2003 and March this year, charging 1 percent as commission. (Kyodo)
