Writer, antiwar activist Makoto Oda dies at 75
TOKYO, Japan - Makoto Oda (file photo taken in December, 2004), a Japanese writer who led the antiwar movements against the wars in Vietnam and Iraq, died on July 30 at a Tokyo hospital. He was 75. He had revealed in April he was battling a terminal phase of cancer. (Kyodo)
