649 people sue state over dredging at U.S. Yokosuka base

YOKOSUKA, Japan - A group of people from Kanagawa and five other prefectures head for the Yokosuka branch of the Yokohama District Court on July 3 to file a lawsuit demanding the state suspend dredging under way in line with the planned deployment of a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier at the U.S. naval base in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, in 2008.
