G-8 leaders plant new variety of pine trees

TOYAKO, Japan - The leaders of the Group of Eight nations -- (From L to R) Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, U.S. President George W. Bush, Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper -- and Hokkaido Gov. Harumi Takahashi plant a new variety of pine trees at the Windsor Hotel Toya in Toyako, Hokkaido, on July 8.
