Watanuki in general election campaigning
TOKYO, Japan - Tamisuke Watanuki, who heads the small opposition People's New Party, arrives at a stump stop in the city of Hamura in Tokyo on Aug. 18. Watanuki, a former speaker of the House of Representatives, is among candidates seeking reelection as a lower house member. Official campaigning started the same day for the Aug. 30 general election.
