New Citizen watch with dark crimson japanned face

TOKYO, Japan - This photo shows Citizen Watch Co.'s new timepiece under the luxury Campanola Dual Time series, which features Japanese lacquerwork. An artisan of the country's traditional Aizu painting worked on the CTU57-1242 by meticulously painting deep crimson lacquer on the face in layers, claims the company. The watch, marketed on Aug. 20 and carrying a price tag of about 378,000 yen, is also characterized by its roundish glass cover and smooth silvery body. (Kyodo)
