Italian motorcyclists offer paper cranes at Hiroshima monument

HIROSHIMA, Japan - The Marco Polo Team of three Italian motorcyclists offer paper cranes made by Italian children at a monument dedicated to a Japanese girl who died at age 12 as a result of the atomic bombing of the city on Aug. 6, 1945. The motorcyclists arrived in Hiroshima after a 17,000-kilometer trans-Eurasian journey from Italy via Belarus to campaign against radiation tragedies. (Kyodo)
