Former FIA President Max Mosley Dead At 81

Jean Todt was elected president of motor racings governing body FIA beating Finnish candidate Ari Vatanen. Todt was the big favorite after getting backing from outgoing FIA president Max Mosley and Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone. The 63-year-old Frenchman was elected to a four-year term, beating Vatanen 135-49 in the voting at FIAs annual general meeting in Paris. The FIA said 12 votes were ruled as invalid or abstentions. - Max Mosley, the former president of motor sports' world governing body the FIA, has died aged 81. Mosley became FIA president in 1993 after serving in previous administrative roles in motor sport, including within Formula One. He served three terms as president before standing down in 2009.
