Japan PM Suga to resign
Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga (R) and ruling Liberal Democratic Party Secretary General Toshihiro Nikai attend an extraordinary meeting of party executives in Tokyo on Sept. 3, 2021. Suga intends to resign amid mounting criticism over his response to the COVID-19 pandemic, government sources said the same day.
