The President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, presided over the ceremony to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the Victory of May 8, 1945, on May 8, 2021, in front of the statue of General de Gaulle, on the Place Clemenceau in Paris, with the wreath laying in front of the statue of General de Gaulle, followed by the playing of the Last Post and the minute's silence and the salute to the members of the family and to the President of the Charles de Gaulle Foundation.
