Women's Strike In Bern - Switzerland
Swiss women are mobilising again in various cities in Switzerland, 30 years after the first women's strike. At the heart of their demands: the fight against raising the retirement age, higher wages and protection against gender-based and sexual violence. Fifty years after the introduction of women's suffrage, forty years after the principle of equality was enshrined in the Constitution, thirty years after the first women's strike and two years after the 2019 feminist strike, "the demands remain valid", the collectives say.
