Jean Castex Visits Villacoublay Airport As Part Of Apagan Operation

★Prime Minister Jean Castex, accompanied by the Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Thierry Burkhard, visits Villacoublay airport for the arrival of the last rotation in the framework of the Apagan operation. An A400M of the French Air Force took off this Sunday 29 August from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. On board are military personnel as well as diplomats, including the French ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. Launched on 15 August 2021 at the request of the President of the Republic, Operation APAGAN aims to evacuate French nationals, nationals of partner countries and Afghans threatened because of their links with France or their involvement in Afghan civil society.
