Princess Of Asturias Awards - Oviedo
The Princess of Asturias during the 2021 Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony at the Campoamor Theatre, October 22, 2021, in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain. This edition, which takes place with a capacity limited to 60 percent, is marked by the recognition of seven scientists for their efforts in the development in record time of some of the vaccines against Covid-19. In addition to recognising the role of science with the Princess of Asturias Award for Technical and Scientific Research, a diploma will also be presented to a feminist journalist and writer; a chef and businessman; and a Paralympic swimmer. Also receiving a diploma will be journalist and feminist writer Gloria Steinem (Communication and Humanities), chef, businessman and philanthropist José Andrés (Concord) and Paralympic swimmer Teresa Perales ((Sports).
