Yavuz Altun, chairman of the Retail Committee of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and CEO of Happy Center supermarkets, announced that "retail prices will drop in parallel with the decline in inflation." In a written statement released Wednesday, Altun said he had met with persons in charge from other supermarket chains, and all had confirmed they would not be raising prices.
