The festival is held this year from Feb. 23 to 28, with the participation of 12 films from 18 countries, besides 24 films contesting in the short film competition. "Our festival discusses the issues related to the cinema industry and the issues related to women," said Mohamed Abdel-Khalek, the president and founder of the AIWFF, at the opening ceremony.
