The Health Ministry's daily update showed that 154 people died of the virus from 13:00 GMT Tuesday to the same time on Wednesday. That means a total of 100,037 Spaniards had by them been confirmed to have lost their lives to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. The vaccination campaign, which began on Dec. 27, 2020, has since helped to substantially reduce mortality.
