Chinese workers in Ghana embarked on a clean-up exercise on the beach at Accra on Saturday to help the West African country protect its ocean environment.
The staff of CRCC Harbor and Channel Engineering Bureau Group Co., a company undertaking the construction of the Jamestown Fishing Harbor Complex, cleared the beach scattered with plastics, wood, and other waste materials with their Ghanaian counterparts.
Ghana boasts a 550-kilometer coastline, of which the littered beaches have become a threat to its ocean environment for years.
