A total of 13 baby golden snub-nosed monkeys have been captured by a camera at Yuhe National Natural Reserve in northwest China's Gansu Province.
The golden snub-nosed monkey is under first-class state protection in the country. The Chinese name of the golden snub-nosed monkey translates to (Sichuan) golden hair monkey. In China, golden snub-nosed monkeys' habitats are mainly in Sichuan, Gansu, Shaanxi, and Hubei.
Located in the southern part of Gansu Province, the Yuhe National Natural Reserve has stepped up efforts to protect wildlife. Data show the reserve now boasts 13 groups of the rare species, with about 1,100 monkeys in total.
