The team is led by the Wildlife Research Institute of Beijing Forestry University and the snow leopard research team of Eco-Bridge Continental. The staff found video footage of the snow leopard patrolling its territory. According to the researchers, it's an adult male. Snow leopards are under China's highest national-level protection and are listed as vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
