It marked the 6 millionth car produced by BMW Group's joint venture in China, BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA). This came just 15 months after the joint venture produced its 5 millionth car. In April, the BMW Group announced an additional investment of 20 billion yuan (about 2.8 billion U.S. dollars) in the Shenyang production base.
