Located in southwest Africa, the northern Kavango area in Namibia is soaked in the greenery of spring all year round, and is called the "Amazon jungle" of Namibia by locals.
The Kavango region in the north is dominated by the Kavango River and its vast floodplain, which makes the area lush year-round.
The Kavango River is the natural border between Namibia and Angola and the lifeline of the Kavango people. Locals make a living by fishing, raising cattle and planting sorghum, millet and corn. It's not only the natural granary of Namibia, but also a paradise for various animals and plants.
